Gardeners, high school students seeking community-service hours, families, and neighbors of all experience levels are welcome. Spend a fun, hands-on day helping care for the garden while learning about Florida native plants, pollinators, and upcoming garden events.
Meet passionate members of our community, try something new, and help create a beautiful, welcoming space for everyone to enjoy. No gardening experience is needed - just bring your enthusiasm!

Volunteering here is more than completing a requirement. You can plant Florida natives, create habitat for pollinators, grow food, compost, care for garden beds, help with community events, and learn practical skills you may not experience in another volunteer role.

WHAT WE’LL DO

Check in, meet our gardeners, students, and community volunteers, and learn how today’s projects will support the garden.

Choose a project that matches your interests and comfort level. Activities may include planting, mulching, preparing garden beds, caring for Florida native plants, or creating pollinator habitat.

Cool down, recharge, and get to know other members of our garden community.

Continue your project or try something new. Depending on the garden’s needs, activities may include composting, seed starting, plant propagation, creating garden signs, or preparing for an upcoming community event.

Put away tools, see what we accomplished together, and join us for an optional group photo. Students earning community-service hours can complete their required paperwork before leaving.
All ages and experience levels are welcome. We’ll provide guidance, so no gardening experience is needed. Activities may change depending on the weather and the garden’s needs.

Free parking and restrooms are available near the Meadows Park Pool. From the parking area, follow the event signs to the community garden.
